The Fiat Vetrato is part of the Ducato van range, which entered its third production generation in 2006. A panel van that’s also available with slick glass windows, the Vetrato joins the Ducato basic and the Ducato Chassis Cab to complete one of the most popular and versatile van ranges on the market.

The interior of the Fiat Vetrato is adaptable according to your requirements. Accommodating five to nine people, and with options of folding and removing both the central and back rows seats, this transporter allows you to carry passengers and haul cargo. A selection of body converters is available for those who would like to convert their Vetrato vans into motor homes or special passenger vehicles, and interior luggage room is plentiful for those who would like to use this Fiat van as a goods transport minibus. In particular, the storage compartment under this cab’s ceiling provides ample space for the storage of delicate and valuable items. The Vetrato is fitted with a new 2.3-litre Multijet engine that has an output of 88kW of power at 3 600rpm and 320Nm of torque at 2 000rpm. The Multijet direct injection shoots small bursts of fuel into the engine within a single cycle, enabling gradual fuel combustion. This results in smooth engine performance and significantly lower maintenance intervals, with oil, filters and cam belts needing to be changed less often than was the case in previous models. Another result of the new Multijet engine is that this Fiat diesel is stable at high speeds and over long distances, while it accelerates easily in heavy traffic and around tight corners. High torque provides ample manoeuvrability, even when the Vetrato boot is loaded to maximum capacity. Measuring ten metres cubed in length, the Fiat Vetrato is more compact than the Ducato, and is equipped with ultrasound parking sensors that warn drivers of obstacles when reversing. Displaying a picture of the area behind the vehicle via a rear-mounted camera, the Vetrato assists drivers with parking in tight urban areas. Other technological features include cruise control, automatic rain-sensing wipers, Bluetooth cellular connectivity and MP3-enabled CD audio systems.
The Fiat Vetrato serves a wide variety of drivers and passengers – from ambulance drivers to the disabled – as it has a comfortable and stylish interior that is easily adapted to suit those in need. Accommodating up to nine passengers and equipped with a powerful and advanced Multijet engine, a fully loaded Vetrato is nimble enough to navigate through traffic with ease.
